Providing Guidance through an Emotional and Strenuous Time
Our probate attorneys help our clients through what can be a very emotional and strenuous time, such as when families are mourning the passing of a loved one or are dealing with a loved one's sudden or anticipated incapacity. Our probate practice includes experienced representation in guardianships and probate administration.
- Guardianships: If a loved one is unable to care for his or her own financial or medical needs due to age or incapacity, we will guide you through the process of obtaining guardianship, as well as help you fulfill your obligations as a guardian once you are appointed.
- Probate: If you have been named executor, administrator or personal representative of the estate of a loved one, we can help you fulfill the requirements of the probate process and settle the estate. We handle all matters related to the probate of an estate, including the preparation of an inventory of the assets of the estate, payment of final debts and taxes and distribution of assets in accordance with the terms of the will or trust. We will prepare and submit all documents that need to be filed and will act as your advocate in all proceedings with the probate court.
