The Maryland State Bar Association's ADR Section invites you to attend the following Pizza and Professionalism Program:
Posted February 1, 2014 by in Press, Dozier & Hamelburg NewsMediation Demonstrations - Fish-Bowl Style
The MSBA ADR Section invites you to an informative program covering some of the more common ethical issues and troublesome situations (early impasse, bad behavior, confidentiality, etc.) that can arise in anyone's mediation sessions. Rather than presenting this information in a standard lecture-style format, the issues and situations will be demonstrated through several role plays and mediated by experienced mediators John Bickerman, Dan Dozier, Ellen Kandell, Joyce Mitchell, and Steve Shapiro. Following each mediation demonstration, the audience will be asked for feedback. These mediation demonstrations should be a great learning opportunity for experienced and inexperienced mediators alike. Given the subject matter to be covered, the program also falls within the continuing education training topics set forth in Rule 17-104. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
When: Monday, February 3, 2014, from 6:30 - 8:30/9 p.m.
Where: University of Maryland's School of Law (Room 460), 500 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Cost: Free to ADR Section members and UMD law school students - $5 (cash) at the door for non-members. Pizza and soft drinks will be served.
RSVP: If you plan to attend the program, please send an email confirming your attendance to Erik Johnson at erik@creativedisputeresolutions.com. Please include in your RSVP an indication as to whether you are a member of the MSBA's ADR Section. RSVPs will help us better estimate the amount of pizza and drinks to purchase.
